Our humble beginnings started when Managing Director, Neil Purssey saw a dancing daisy…some of you will remember those 80’s plastic flowers dancing away to music from a ghetto blaster! So the cogs started turning and Neil thought if a daisy can dance to music why can’t a door wedge respond to the sound of the fire alarm – so our first product Dorgard was born.
For many years now we have manufactured intelligent products and systems that listen for the sound of the fire alarm and help service providers comply with their responsibilities and legal obligations under legislation.
Using the most experienced and qualified consultants in fire safety, we established our Services division which has now expanded to provide a full range of Building Consultancy using the most qualified consultants in each area.
Thinking two divisions was just not enough, we established the Architectural Ironmongery division, specialising in door controls and fittings.
FIREMAIN UK LTD are about to celebrate their 10th anniversary in the Fire alarm industry. Initially established in January 1994, in the South East region, the Business has been expanding ever since.
FIREMAIN UK LTD has gained approval as recognised installers of equipment across the whole fire spectrum. Total flexibility of product enhances FIREMAIN UK LTD’s credibility as a ‘Total System’ Company. After sales support is reflected in the continuing expansion of maintenance contracts, overseen by our sister company FIRE MAINTENANCE LTD.
