The company was formed in October 1994 by partners, M.Wright (Managing Director) and N. McCoy (Technical Director)
Before Oct '94 the company existed as an independant department, operating for eight years within the Isovel group of companies, situated in Andover, Hampshire.
Isovel, primarily an air conditioning unit manufacturer specialising in major computer room installations, had a need for a monitoring system to complement the A/C units they were producing, hence the Isoscan department was created to design, manufacture and install these systems. Various customers then began to ask if building security features could be added to the monitoring system, which of course was done, leading to the Isoscan II system, a PC based monitoring and access control system.
Isoscan (UK) Ltd, was then formed by the former members of the Isoscan department, with the full cooperation of Isovel, as an independant company.
In discussions with our existing customers, we found that more and more, they wanted only part of our system, that is, access control or monitoring systems, but not both. So beginning in Oct '94 the system was totally re-designed, separating the Isoscan II into the products, Sitescan V monitoring and Isoscan MkV access control, although both systems are compatible and can operate as a single system.
In addition to this Isoscan have also undertaken all manner of work relating to the fire and security industry, from intruder and fire alarm installation to remote camera CCTV system installation.
